OPERATING SYSTEM
An Operating system is a program that controls the execution of application program and acts an interface between application and the computer hardware .
it is an essential component of a computer system . The primary Objective very of an O/S to make computer system convenient to use and utilize computer hardware in an efficient manner.
An O/S is a large collection of software which manager resource of the computer system, such as memory processor , input /output device etc. It keeps track of the status of each resource and decides who will have a control over computer resource for how long and when.
In other words we can say that ,an O/S is a collection of programs , Which controls the overall operation of a computer it controls the execution of other programs it offer scheduling debugging, input /output control storage assignment , data management and releted service to all other programs running on the computer .
The primary objective of o/s is to increase productivity of a processing resource . such as computer H/W or computer system upon
o/s is a system s/w that's extremely important to actrate and co-ordinate the activities of various h/w resource like the processor , i/o device etc. It also controls the movement of information in the computer system ,
it is the first program who loaded into the main memory where we boot aur computer system.
An o/s is a system s/w which may be viewed as an organised collection of s/w extension od h/w consisting of procedures for operating a computer and providing an environment for execution of programs it provides an interface between the user and the hardware of a computer system .
